ProPhylER Search

Search by Peptide Sequence

The surest way to find a ProPhylER cluster is to search with a peptide sequence. Please enter the sequence in FASTA format ( description ) or as raw sequence in one-letter peptide code.

or

Search by PDB Identifier

If you're starting with a specific protein structure, you can also search ProPhylER with its 4-character PDB identifier ( PDB link ).

or

Search by UniProt Accession

ProPhylER includes UniProt sequences from all Eukaryotes ( UniProt link ). You must search by the 6-character UniProt accession ( examples ), not the less stable entry name.

or

Search by Ensembl Identifier

ProPhylER also includes Ensembl sequences ( Ensembl link ) from species for which the gene annotations are likely to be of high quality because of substantial cDNA or EST evidence. These species are currently limited to:

human C. intestinalis
mouse D. melanogaster
opossum A. gambiae
chicken C. elegans
X. tropicalis S. cerevisiae
zebrafish S. pombe
stickleback

Both Ensembl gene identifiers and protein identifiers are supported ( examples ).

or

Search by ProPhylER Cluster Identifier

If you already know your specific CLUSTER ID, you can use it to quickly access the ProPhylER Interface

or

Search by ProPhylER Cluster Name

If you are looking for your favorite gene, search by name to access analyzed ProPhylER clusters of interest

or

Search ProPhylER by Human (hg18) Chromosome Coordinate

To obtain MAPP P-values for human coding SNPs, search by hg18 chromosome:coordinate to access analyzed ProPhylER clusters of interest. Enter multiple values separated by a semi-colon ( examples ).
